How to report a 3D model or photo on Hooray3D that infringes your copyright, and how to send a counter-notice.

Last updated: 2026-10-07

We respect intellectual property. If you believe content on Hooray3D infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@hooray3d.com with the subject "DMCA notice". We act on valid notices promptly, usually within 3 business days.

What to include in a notice

  1. The work you believe is infringed: for example a link to the original artwork, character or design.
  2. What the infringing material is, and enough detail for us to find it. Models on Hooray3D are private to their makers, so tell us, for example, where you saw it, the account email if you know it, or the date it was made.
  3. Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full name is enough.

What happens next

  • We remove or disable access to the material, and tell the user who uploaded it.
  • We may forward your notice to that user, including your contact details, so they can respond.
  • If a user repeatedly infringes, we close their account.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:

  1. the material that was removed, and where it was;
  2. a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  3. your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live (or, outside the United States, any court where we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice;
  4. your signature.

We will forward the counter-notice to the person who complained. We may restore the material after 10 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Other problems

To report content that breaks our rules but isn't a copyright matter (for example a deepfake, or something unsafe), see the Content Rules.
